TaskHound Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 2, 2026  |  Last updated: July 2, 2026

TL;DR - Key points in plain English

  • What we collect: account info, billing status (cards are handled by Stripe, not us), product usage, and the content your team stores in its TaskHound Container - repos, session transcripts, knowledge.
  • Why: to run the Service, bill subscriptions, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the product.
  • We don't sell your data, and we don't train AI models on your code or transcripts.
  • Your AI providers see your prompts: sessions send code and context to the Agent Providers you link (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI) under their own privacy terms.
  • Agent credentials are stored encrypted, scoped per user, and used only to run your sessions.
  • Your rights: access, correct, export, or delete your data - email privacy@taskhound.com.

This Privacy Policy describes how Snaju LLC ("Snaju," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use TaskHound - our websites at taskhound.com and app.taskhound.com, our mobile and desktop applications, TaskHound Containers, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

Article I - Information We Collect

Section 1.1 - Information You Provide.

  1. Account information: name, email address, team/workspace name, role, and authentication data (password hashes, two-factor enrollment);
  2. Billing information: subscription selections and billing status. Payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor, and are not stored on TaskHound systems;
  3. Support communications: the content of emails and support requests you send us;
  4. Agent Provider credentials: API keys or authentication tokens you link for Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, or Grok. These are encrypted at rest, scoped to the linking user, and used solely to run sessions you initiate.

Section 1.2 - Service Content. Operating the Service necessarily involves storing your Team's working content in its TaskHound Container and control-plane records about it: repositories and files, agent session transcripts, distilled knowledge items, deployment metadata and logs, and team/project configuration. This content belongs to your Team (see the Terms of Service) and we process it only to provide the Service.

Section 1.3 - Information Collected Automatically. Device and browser type, IP address, approximate location (country/region), pages and features used, session timestamps, application logs, and error reports. Our marketing site uses minimal, self-hosted assets; we do not embed third-party advertising trackers.

Section 1.4 - Information from Third Parties. Payment status and fraud-screening signals from Stripe; abuse reports concerning your deployments; and information provided pursuant to legal process.

Article II - How We Use Information

Section 2.1 - Providing the Service. To create and manage accounts and Teams, provision and operate TaskHound Containers, run and display agent sessions, index knowledge and history for your Team's search, process subscription billing through Stripe, deliver push notifications you enable, and provide support.

Section 2.2 - Security and Abuse Prevention. To authenticate users, detect and investigate fraud and AUP violations, protect the Service and the underlying platform, and enforce our agreements.

Section 2.3 - Improvement. To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve reliability and product design. We do not use your code, repositories, transcripts, or knowledge to train machine-learning models.

Section 2.4 - Communications. To send transactional messages (receipts, security alerts, service notices) and, with your consent where required, product announcements you can opt out of at any time.

Section 2.5 - Legal Compliance. To comply with law, respond to valid legal process, and establish or defend legal claims.

Article III - Disclosure of Information

Section 3.1 - No Sale. SNAJU DOES NOT SELL, RENT, OR LEASE PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES.

Section 3.2 - Agent Providers You Link. When a session runs, the prompts, code, files, and context involved are transmitted to the Agent Provider whose agent you chose, under your account with that provider and subject to that provider's terms and privacy policy. Snaju does not control how Agent Providers process that data. Review your providers' policies - particularly their data-retention and training settings - before linking them.

Section 3.3 - Service Providers (Subprocessors). We share information with providers who help us operate the Service, contractually bound to use it only for that purpose:

  1. Stripe - subscription payment processing and fraud screening;
  2. DartNode (Snaju Inc. d/b/a DartNode) - the infrastructure platform (AS399646) on which TaskHound Containers and their contents are hosted;
  3. Email and push-notification delivery providers;
  4. Professional services (legal, accounting) where necessary.

Section 3.4 - Legal Disclosure. We may disclose information where we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, protect the rights, property, or safety of Snaju, our users, or others, or detect and address fraud or security issues.

Section 3.5 - Business Transfers. In a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may transfer to the successor entity; we will provide notice of any such transfer.

Section 3.6 - Aggregated Data. We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you.

Article IV - Data Retention

Section 4.1 - Periods.

  1. Account data: while the account is active, plus up to seven (7) years for legal and tax purposes;
  2. Billing records: seven (7) years;
  3. Container contents (repos, transcripts, knowledge): while the subscription is active; exportable for thirty (30) days after termination, then deleted;
  4. Support communications: three (3) years;
  5. Server and application logs: ninety (90) days.

Section 4.2 - Deletion Requests. On account deletion or verified request, we delete or anonymize personal information within a reasonable timeframe except where retention is required by law or for fraud prevention.

Article V - Security

Section 5.1 - Measures. TLS encryption in transit; encryption of secrets and agent credentials at rest (AES-256-GCM with per-team envelope keys); per-Team isolation of TaskHound Containers; role-based access controls and two-factor authentication; secret-masking and scrubbing of known secrets from transcripts before storage and indexing; and audit logging of privileged actions.

Section 5.2 - No Guarantee. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Section 5.3 - Breach Notification. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law, including the Texas Identity Theft Enforcement and Protection Act where applicable.

Article VI - Your Rights and Choices

Section 6.1 - Access, Correction, Portability. You may access and update account information in your dashboard, and request a copy of your personal information in a portable format. Your Team's Container contents are exportable directly (git, files) at any time.

Section 6.2 - Deletion. You may request deletion of personal information, subject to legal retention requirements, ongoing contractual obligations, and fraud-prevention needs.

Section 6.3 - Marketing Opt-Out. Unsubscribe links are included in marketing emails; transactional and security messages cannot be opted out of while your account is active.

Section 6.4 - Exercising Rights. Contact privacy@taskhound.com. We may require identity verification and will respond within thirty (30) days or as required by law.

Section 6.5 - California Residents. California residents have the rights described in the CCPA/CPRA, including to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising), and to non-discrimination for exercising those rights.

Article VII - International Transfers

Section 7.1 - U.S. Processing. Snaju is based in the United States and information is processed and stored in the United States. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we implement appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses and data-processing agreements. By using the Service, you consent to processing in the United States.

Article VIII - Children

Section 8.1 - Age Restriction. The Service is not directed to individuals under eighteen (18), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have, contact privacy@taskhound.com and we will delete it promptly.

Article IX - Changes to This Policy

Section 9.1 - Updates. We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy with a revised "Last updated" date and notify you by email or in-product notice for material changes. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
